Another Rob once said: "Did I listen to pop music because I was miserable? Or was I miserable because I listened to pop music?" - Nick Hornby

Great read Rob. Far too much here that I completely understand and identify with. I was 9 as well when I first went to therapy (same anger issue, btw). Which could then pose the question, exactly what types of people are drawn to what types of music? I've always gravitated to the lyrics more than the music and I generally respond to "darker" lyrics (although I have mellowed considerably with age). Is that because of some kind of wiring in me? I do not know, but I lean towards yea.

FWIW, my instrument of choice was the tennis racket. Played that fucker like a BEAST! You may also be surprised at how well a dog belly can keep a beat.

Thanks Rob, another great read.
