Hola! Except in theater. For some unknown reason, playwrights still garner some respect. That was always my experience, on my tiny scale. Unfortunately, no one goes to the theater anymore (pre-Covid) and I can't imagine post-Covid it gets any better. Plus original theater isn't terribly popular and there is no money in theater. But I suppose respect is cool...it just doesn't keep the lights on or the dog fed. Cheers!
