There are so many reasons to criticize mainstream media, too many to really count. This is one of them - but the moment we (the royal we) accept that their interest is NOT in news but in dollars to meet quarterly expectations for Wall Street, then we can accept their negligence (yes, begrudgingly). Period. There are good people among them, but not enough. And you are 100% correct, white Christians, for better or worse (but worse), just aren't newsworthy. Local news has been evicerated, which would be a place people would've turned to years ago, but now, it's the same story (Wall Street). I can't remember the last time I watched a media outlet like that (that's not snobbery, I just get too incensed). I look towards alternative/progressive/confrontational journalism like The Intercept, Urban Riot, etc. I find podcasts to be a great source of news as well. The NYTimes The Daily did a brilliant episode recently on the supply chain issue ...wanna guess where they ended up placing the blame? Hint - Wall Street. The system is broken and I'm not convinced it will be re-set in our lifetime. (Good lord, this is a long reply). David Cross had a joke years ago about why he had to read newspapers from outside his country to find out about things inside his country. Sad, but true. It's absolutely stunning to see just how accurate the movie Network ended up being. STUNNING! Anyway, great read Paul and I agree, but I have given up on commercial media. It's too infuriating for me. It's a large and very complicated issue that extends so far beyond just reporting. Well, imho. :)
